If you’ve visited Energise Africa recently, you may have noticed that there are currently no live investment offers on our platform. While ideally, we would love to have offers live all the time, far from signalling a slowdown, this is actually a powerful sign of momentum.

A year of fully-funded impact
Throughout 2025, thanks to the commitment of our investors, supported by match funding from CEI Africa, we’ve filled every bond offer we’ve launched. Together, we’ve helped pioneering solar and clean energy businesses across sub-Saharan Africa access the capital they need to scale projects that are transforming lives.

These investments are bringing solar solutions to homes and businesses in a region where 600 million people still live without access to the grid. Investor capital has enabled families to light their homes safely and affordably, helped small businesses operate more efficiently, and supported farmers and entrepreneurs to thrive with reliable, renewable power. That’s the Energise Africa community in action.

Behind the scenes: preparing the next opportunities
We know our investors value a steady flow of high-quality investment opportunities, and so do we. Our team is working hard behind the scenes to identify the next wave of solar businesses that meet our standards for impact, sustainability, and financial performance.

Of course, this involves rigorous due diligence, including on-the-ground visits, detailed assessments of business models, and scrutiny of how each company delivers on its social and environmental objectives. We won’t list an offer until we’re confident we can give investors the fullest possible picture. Good opportunities take time to prepare, and we’re committed to taking that time to get it right.

Impact doesn’t pause
While our platform may be temporarily quiet, the impact our investors create certainly isn’t. Investments made through Energise Africa bonds continue to work hard:

• Lighting homes so children can study in the evenings
• Powering businesses and supporting livelihoods
• Reducing carbon emissions by helping households switch from kerosene to clean solar energy or putting more electric vehicles on the roads

And now, thanks to the new live impact tracker on our website, you can see that ongoing difference in real time. It shows the collective achievements of our investor community, impact that continues to grow even between offers. It’s something we should all be proud of.
